On-Line Clinical Library Services and continuing education opportunities are available to all NEMO AHEC preceptors through the Mid Missouri AHEC website. Original content articles, updated daily on every known disease and disorder are peer reviewed by four physicians and a doctor of pharmacy.  Articles are approved for Category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award, Category 2 credit by the American Osteopathic Association, the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education and American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 

National Health Service Corps -  The National Health Service Corps (NHSC), through scholarship and loan repayment programs, helps Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) in the U.S. get the medical, dental, and mental health providers they need to meet their tremendous need for health care.

Campus Community Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is a nonprofit organization that promotes health (broadly defined) through partnerships between communities and higher educational institutions. Founded in 1996, we are a growing network of over  2,000 communities and campuses across North America and increasingly the world that are collaborating to promote health through service-learning, community-based participatory research, broad-based coalitions and other partnership strategies.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATIONS

Missouri Nurses Association - MONA's mission is to protect and enhance registered professional nursing practice in all environments to assure quality, affordable and accessible health care for people in Missouri. Key program areas of MONA include legislation and governmental affairs, workforce advocacy, economic & general welfare, accreditation and provision of continuing nursing education, professional development and supporting nursing practice and research.

Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons MAOPS' mission is to preserve the osteopathic profession in the state of Missouri and serve its members in their quest to provide the highest quality of osteopathic medical care to the citizens of this  state.

Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA) - The Mission of the Missouri State Medical Association is to serve its 6,500 members through promotion of the science and art of medicine, protection of the health of the public and betterment of the medical profession in Missouri.

American Medical Student Association - AMSA is a student-governed, national organization committed to representing the concerns of physicians-in-training. With a membership of more than 62,000 medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and practicing physicians from across the country, AMSA continues its commitment to improving medical training and the nation's health.

American Medical Association - The AMA impacts the daily work of all physicians, residents, fellow and medical students in the U.S. tackling crucial topics like medical liability, clinical quality, managed care, patient safety, Medicare billing and payment, medical education debt and more.

American Osteopathic Association is a member association representing more than 67,000 osteopathic physicians (DOs). The AOA serves as the primary certifying body for DOs, and is the accrediting agency for all osteopathic medical colleges and health care facilities. The AOA's mission is to advance the philosophy and practice of osteopathic medicine by promoting excellence in education, research, and the delivery of quality, cost-effective healthcare within a distinct, unified profession
