NEMO AHEC actively participates in a number of associations and community/rural health initiatives.

  • ElderLynk www.elderlynk.org The mission of ElderLynk is to promote senior wellness through the provision of a seamless continuum of community-based mental health care and related support services in rural, underserved northeastern Missouri.  
  • Northeast Missouri Health Council www.nmhcinc.org A Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides sliding fee discounts to qualified patients who need primary health care, mental health and dental services.
  • CareLink  A healthcare refral service for uninsured and underinsured northeast Missourians 1-877-KEY2-CARE.
  • Women’s Care Connection www.nmhcinc.org/wcc.html   A coordinated referral and provider system that helps underserved and low-income women in our area receive primary health care services as well as dental care, mental health care and other health related services available throughout Northeast Missouri.
  • Northeast Missouri Rural Health Network www.nmrhn.org A health care network in northeastern Missouri that links health care services by coordinating resources, expanding access, and increasing quality and cost effectiveness.                                                                                                        
  • Missouri Primary Care Association www.mo-pca.org   A non profit corporation designed to assure access to comprehensive primary health care to all residents of Missouri through its programs, activities, membership, and other available resources.
  • Missouri Rural Health Association www.morha.org  The Missouri Rural Health Association is a non-profit, grassroots, member-driven organization whose mission is to safeguard and improve the health of rural Missouri.
  • Missouri Hospital Association www.mhanet.com   A not-for-profit membership association designed to create an environment that enables member hospitals and health care systems to improve the health of their patients and communities.
  • The Office on Women's Health (OWH) www.4women.gov/owh  The Office on Women’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the government's champion and focal point for women's health issues, and works to redress inequities in research, health care services, and education that have historically placed the health of women at risk.  The OWH coordinates women's health efforts in HHS to eliminate disparities in health status and supports culturally sensitive educational programs that encourage women to take personal responsibility for their own health and wellness.
