   Educational Library Minimize

Planning a Health Fair or Health Education Program? The NEMO AHEC Lending Library allows local organizations and educators to borrow teaching resources for a variety of age groups at no charge.

We provide anatomical models, health education displays, clinical teaching tools, CR-Rom training and pamphlets on a wide array of topics that may be used to present to church groups, community groups and/or youth groups. Our materials provide an effective visual aid for a health education message at public health fairs and or in a class room setting.   Many written items have been assessed for readility using the SMOG assessment - a nationally recognized formula for determining reading grade level.

Some of the topics are:

· alcoholism                      · emergency preparedness

· arterial health                  · handwashing/germs

· bone loss/osteoporosis    · nutrition

· breast health                   · obesity

· cancer prevention            · poison prevention

· dental health                   · smoking/anti-tobacco

· drug abuse                     ·sexually transmitted infections
