Missouri AHEC Science & Health (M*A*S*H) Camps
2012 Camp locations to be announced in March
M*A*S*H Camps aim to spark an interest in healthcare and science prior to high school coursework. M*A*S*H camps are two-day “hands-on” science and health summer day camps for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Instructors include health professionals, health educators, and faculty from area high schools and colleges. Camp goals are to generate interest in science and healthcare careers, involve students in “hands-on” learning experiences and expose students to the variety of healthcare careers available.
Fees ($40) include 2-days of instruction, classroom materials, lunch & snacks, t-shirt, group photo and more. Students participate in: Chemistry/Biology Labs * Scrub Labs * Emergency Medical Service demonstration * Hospital Tours * Healthcare Career Activities

Space is limited to students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in the fall. You must complete and return mail the following documents to: NEMO AHEC * 312 S. Elson St. * Kirksville, MO 63501.
- Registration & Parent Consent Form (2 pages)
- Student Demographic Form
- $40 registration fee (make checks payable to NEMO AHEC) OR written request for scholarship
A limited number of scholarships are available to families for whom the registration fee is a considerable hardship. To request a scholarship, please include a written request from parent explaining the hardship situation and requesting assistance from the planning committee. You will be notified at a later date if the scholarship is granted.
