NEMO AHEC Staff

 

 

 

Robin Worthington, MHS, became the new Executive Director of Northeast Missouri Area Health Education Center in July of 2018. Worthington will provide leadership, management, and direction to NEMO AHEC as well as collaborate and partner with area agencies and volunteers. Worthington will work with NEMO AHEC staff to provide quality programming and service to the current and future health care workforce. Worthington graduated from Walden University with her M.S. in Human and Social Services in 2018. Previously she obtained a B.A. in Human Services as well as an A.S. in Human Services.

Dinah Coles, Clinical Coordinator/Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for the Center’s financial records, ensuring dollars are applied appropriately to each specific grant.  In addition to the financial responsibilities Dinah is responsible for Clinical Rotation for medical and dental students,  job shadowing for undergraduate students, the NEMO AHEC Library, student volunteers and ensuring the office runs smoothly.

Laura Wallace started as NEMO AHEC’s Health Education Specialist upon completing her internship with us in the Fall of 2018.  Laura looks forward to working with students and community members in Northeast Missouri as a member of the AHEC team.  Wallace will use her experience to implement educational programs, evaluate our health education programs, and provide quality activities and programs for youth in pursuit of health careers.

Allison Garrett is the new intern for the 2020 Spring semester. She is currently working towards her undergraduate degree in Community, Worksite, and Public Health from Truman State University. Her professional focus is on nutrition and physical activity. She hopes to use the internship to learn more about the public health field and aid in providing programs to the community.

Johanna Burroughs is the new wellness intern for the 2020 Spring semester. She is a senior undergraduate working towards her degree in Community, Worksite, and Public Health from Truman State University. Johanna has a professional interest in child studies and nutrition. She aspires to utilize this internship as an opportunity to learn more about public health social marketing.
