NEMO AHEC HOSA Chapter

The NEMO AHEC HOSA Chapter enrolled their first students in October of 2011. For the 2015-2016 school year we have clubs at the following schools:

  • Adair Co. R-1 High School (Novinger)
  • Knox Co. R-1 High School (Edina),
  • Milan C-2 High School,
  • South Shelby Co. R-4 High School (Shelbina)

Enrolled students have the opportunity to participate in HOSA by attending school club meetings and activities, regional workshops, as well as state and national competitions and leadership conferences. As a member of HOSA, students get to…

  • Explore career fields, majors, and colleges
  • Develop skills and knowledge in the health field
  • Represent their school’s HOSA club professionally
  • Shadow or volunteer in a healthcare setting for 16 hours per school year

  • Practice and compete in health skill events at HOSA State & National Leadership Conferences
  • Have the opportunity for funding for summer health and science opportunities
