Fall 2015 M.E.S.A Dissections are Coming Up!

These dissections (October 20th & November 12th) are a great opportunity for high school students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare! Students will get the opportunity to learn from ATSU medical students. Sessions are $20 each and include a pre-dissection assignment, hands-on learning opportunities, lecture notes, assessment, snack and use of dissection equipment. Scholarships are available.

Welcome Jessica Wentworth, to the NEMO AHEC team!

NEMO Area Health Education Center (AHEC) is pleased to announce Jessica Wentworth, BS, CHES, as their Health Careers & Health Education Coordinator. Wentworth will provide leadership in coordinating middle school and high school health career club and career exploration opportunities, while also supporting community outreach efforts in the NEMO AHEC 21-county service area.

Wentworth graduated from Truman State University in 2015 with her B.S. in Health Science and a Minor in Psychology. At Truman State, she served as a Student Advisor for three and a half years and enjoyed being a member of the Student Public Health Association.  Wentworth is a native of Omaha, NE. “I enjoyed my time at Truman and as an intern with NEMO AHEC.
